Death of Edith McGlamery

Julia "Edith" Barrier McGlamery died in Charleston, SC, on May 6, 2010.  Edith was the wife of Rev. Neal McGlamery, who was the Director of the Raleigh Wesley Foundation from 1955-1975.  Neal was known by Wesley alumni as "Brother Neal" or "Marrying Sam" since he performed the weddings for a great many Wesley alumni.  Edith "Sister Neal" served alongside Neal those many years at the RWF, providing welcomed guidance and love to all students during those years and beyond.  She died at the age of 93.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 14, 2010 from 5:30-7:30, at Gordon Funeral Home, 8559 Cook Street, Mount Pleasant, NC 28124  (704-436-9915)

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 15, 2010, starting at 2 PM, at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, 1260 North College Street, Mount Pleasant, NC 28124.
