What do we believe?
Here at Raleigh Wesley, we celebrate and embrace God’s gift of diversity and recognize that all persons are individuals of sacred worth. As a reconciling ministry, we welcome and affirm people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, races, ethnicities, economic and social statuses, abilities, citizenship statuses, political affiliations, and faith backgrounds. We acknowledge the inequities in our world and work to do no harm and foster an inclusive environment where there is unconditional acceptance and support for all of God’s diverse children.
Where do we meet?
Raleigh Wesley is fortunate to have a space off of Fairmont United Methodist Church that we fondly refer to as “The Hut”. The Hut is only a block from NC State’s campus located at 2503 Clark Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27607. Whether you are a freshman, senior, graduate student, United Methodist or not, please stop by and see us,! We would love to meet and get to know you. Everyone is welcome at Wesley!
What do we do?
Raleigh Wesley meets every Wednesday during the semester for dinner and a program, which serves as our main meeting time. Wednesday programming rotates between four themes: worship, service, fellowship, and study. We also have small group meetings throughout the week, such as Lattes and Lectio on Tuesday mornings and Pub Theology on Thursday evenings. In addition to weekly meetings, we have semesterly retreats and an annual mission trip at the end of the school year. Our space is also always available to students in between classes who are looking for somewhere to study or a space to relax!
